Thanks for your comments.
Here are a few more piccies.
I have been toying with the idea of building another one, but increasing the size to make it twin drive as per the real boat

Built from the AmatI kit, but collected weekly as a partwork whilst I was living in Spain.
Having been a keen plastic modeller, this was my first wooden model.
I had two major obstacles to overcome these being the instructions were in spanish and as this was my first wooden model I had to master new skills.
But it was all worthwhile as I am more than pleased with the finished results. (Motor: graupner ) (ESC: Fusion Aquapower 128) (8/10)

I've been a member for some time and thought It about time I submitted a project!!!!!
This Is a MTB based on a Thorneycroft power boat design.
The plans were Included with a copy of Marine Models International.
I was looking for something different to build and thought this fitted the bill.
It Is plank on balsa frame, although the original plans used one sixtyfourth Inch ply to skin the hull.
It Is fitted with a Torpedo 500 motor and performs reasonably well, but I had a few teething problems not least of all the prop shaft jamming on some errant araldite In the prop shaft leaving the boat to drift across the lake.

This is the first radio controlled model I have attempted.
It was purchased weekly (80 weeks) when I was living in Spain. Only problem was that all the text and instructions were in spanish and my understanding of spanish was severely limited!!!!!!!.
But with a translation program on my PC I was able to complete the model.
As I said this is my first excursion into wooden modelling, although I am proficient in plastic modelling, especially aircraft.
As a first model I am somewhat proud of the completed model, although it is yet to be christened on the water.
Since completing this I have built a Royal Navy Frigate circa 1799, sadly I was unable to transport it back to the UK. it is awaiting my return to Spain.
