Hi Dave M i did some research on the solent lifeboat i found out theres a MK1 and MK2 .the MK1 has the sliding doors and in side the cockpit is different to the MK2 .on the MK2 the doors open and the back cockpit is longer then the MK1 back cockpit .the numbers of the MK1 48004 to 48011 .the MK2 48014 to 48016 . I dont know about 48012 and 48013 I think there MK1 i think ? im not quite sure which one to go on ? cliff
Hi Dave i did a bath test with the new props on the sonlent lifeboat .I did full ford and full astern and no problem yet .on saturday i will be doing full test but solent lifeboat through its paces and see what works or not .cliff
Hi im very happy with my new specilly made propellers 50mm for Solent Lifeboat .The propeller you get are 3/16 tread but what i need it is propeller with 3/16 hole .The propeller shaft is 3/16".I needit straight through 3/16" hole on the propeller that fittied on the 3/16 shaft and there was no tread on the shaft and there was no one else that can do the job what i was looking for so i called Raboesch to see can they help me and they said yes they can help me with the specilly order. it takes 3 weeks to make them 👍 cliff
HI heres some pics the work I was doing on the superstructure i replace the roof on the superstructure and all so i replace the windows on the wheelhouse .Theres a lot of work still to be done on the superstructure.
Hi i need some help on hand rail and stanchions the measurement how far in from the side of the superstructure all so between stanchions and the full length of the hand rail front and back of the of superstructure. many thanks cliff
Hi i did sum modification to the front of the superstructure it was out of line and all so i work on fitting the propeller shaft in.The 2 motor needit to be fitted in and the 2 15A speed controllers . I made up the battery tray and fitted it in the hull . cliff
Hi just a word to every one I am very impress with such high standard of work on model boats i see around world since i joined the model boats website in 2008 . It give me great pleasure to be on this website ever day and see all the model boat in such great detail and the hard work the goes in to model boats by ever one. HI I got this Solent Lifboat a couple years ago im going to do a full refurbish on lifeboat its needs a lot of work on it to do. As you can see from the pic .Ill be putting new gear that you dont normally see on on this model boat .As i up date this blog you see changes
Hi allenrod I have no problem donation money to the website but it some times hard to communicate with no email and call by phone and left a messages and get no reply back it is so frustration for me i will be donate again to keep the website going .cliff
