Hi It must be something about this month, charging a lipo all went well, charge finished, felt just warm, tidied up, slipped battery into holder and went my tot, next thing the smoke alarm went off, got it on shovel and outside. First one in our street with fireworks, so scratch one Thames water taxi, and a blo***ng of swbo, all a wright off. Regards Dave 😭😭😭
Hi Soft start means you can push the stick full forward and the revs builds up at a steady pace, a lot of the ripmax esc don't have bec, as far as l can remember, l switched the tranny on, centre the trims, plugged the esc and 4.8v into the res, you should get a steady light, press the button, you should be ready to go, if not let me know and l'll see if l can find the data sheet. Dave
Hi Colin I'm happy to see there's someone else how uses cascamite l thought l was the only one, everyone else seem to use PVA's. It is a great glue but not on wood that has been soaked in oil. Best of look with the restoration. Regards Dave
Hi Cormorant I have done this several of these, centre the pot. I do by connecting it to a receiver, put the trims to, centre on the Rx switch on and move the pot so that the motor stops on the servo, then put some super glue on the pot and leave for short time, replace the small gears, the last gear has a small tag on the lower part of he gear, snip it off, and open up the hole in the gear slightly, replace the gear and the top gear. You can then use a spare channel on the rx to adjust the speed on the servo in both forward & reverse. If you have any trouble go on mayhem under the black arts section and there is a vid on there. Regards Dave
Electric, 555 motor on 7.4 lipo, with a 35 mm three blade brass prop, the run times about 120 mins. She cuts through the water well, even going astern. Half of the plan was missing, so l can'nt say what the model is called. Regards Dave
