Another model shop to close. by KenThompson Lieutenant   Posted: 5 months ago
Hi Dave, yes it a shame , the way I tend to tell new members is, if you buy it from a shop as a kit or from a plan,, if you need to mend it, you have an idea of how to go about it, you put it together yourself. If you buy ready made models you may not know how to mend it if it goes wrong. But there is usually some one to help out if needed, which is always nice to know.

I agree, most of us use the Internet for things, but this is the result. Sorry to see another shop go.

Does anyone know how to change the switch on the Aura 650 please? I'm asking for a friend who does not have internet. He is having trouble with the electrics, and we come to the conclusion, that it is the switch that is at fault. Thanking you in anticipation. Ken.

Individual Insurance by KenThompson Lieutenant   Posted: 7 months ago
Hi , B.M.F.A. Do do a single person insurance scheme. I think it's called country member. Through them you are covered for all Model activities. I know it's predominantly for flying but if you do not fly the cost is cheaper. Worth while giving them a telephone call to find out the details. They are very good at explaining things to you, and make it easy to understand. Hope this info is of use to you.cheers, ken.
