If you charge in a metal case or ammo can make sure to remove the seals in the cover and make sure it is vented. I know some one who did not and the build up of heat/gasses caused the container to blow up and threw shrapnel all over, lucky no one was hurt

Not a big fan of LIPO's. Unless you have a space problem or the need for very light weight I would shy away form them unless you want to run the risk of loosing your boat or worst yet burn the house down. I like the extra weight for ballast purposes of using MNH or even the larger gel cells/sealed lead acid batteries. Also these alternative batteries can provide 12V if you need it.

I agree with using the term function in place of channel but I do not see this happening. Old habits are hard to break

The best bang for the buck is Flysky FS-ST8 with the TS-SR8 receiver. The transmitter is 10 channel with S-bus capability. The receiver is 8 channel but it is also S-bus capable. Easy to program and use. Best part is the price
of around $90.00 for the standard version and a little more for the upgraded version which gives you the ability to have both sticks self centering. Do not let the Flysky name fool you it is not just for aircraft, I use it on my 42 inch tug and my fleet of Tamiya 1/14 scale trucks. Bought mine from Hobbyconcepts.net and he has the upgraded version that has the sticks already modified to be self centering.
Hope this helps and just IMHO

Lew. I "decant" the paint out of the rattle cans and then use the decanted paint in my air brush. There are many videos on U-tube on how to decant the paint. i use the straw method and it works very well. I use all sorts of paint in my air brush such as lacquer and enamel and never have any problems. I usually use the small paint cup and refill it as needed for small jobs as it is easier to clean out then the larger bottles.

Pacemakers are in constant contact with fluids. These fluids are not just water but full of all sorts of things that the body produces and are probably what was eating away at the the epoxy

The demise of hands-on crafts is a story all over. It is happening with trains, boats, model cars, real cars, trucks, etc. Every one wants instant gratification and do want to put in the time to learn or god forbid get their hands dirty. Sad but that is the trend now a-days with a few exceptions.
I'll keep building my 1/24 scale tug, my 1/14 scale trucks and even my 1/1 full scale 1940 Street Rod.

for what its worth it seams that the varnish has not adhered well to the substrate and/or has not entirely cured. I would be concerned with the varnish lifting on its own over a period of time

as you stated, just because it is listed and ships from Amazon it does not mean it is not a knock off. The quality may or not be good but if it is inferior you can send it back to them

I use neo magnets on a lot of my projects and they are graet for a strong yet separable joint. Just be careful as you found out as they have to be mated as pairs to attract. Also be careful as they are very brittle and if allowed to snap together with a lot of force they can crack.
