Have started working on the Sea Queen, replaced cabin sides with 1.5mm mahogany skins. 😀 have now finished deck and fitted motor, however going back to work next week so will take a little longer before she is in the water again.

No nothing I have plugged a 6s Lipo on to it and it all works fine, I will fit in to the sea queen and give it a go. But I plan to refurb the boat as it’s looking a bit tatty.

Can anyone help identify this motor, I’m rebuilding my Aerokits Sea Queen and would like to use this to power it. I know the ESC is 200amp.

Plan for the beetle is to paint it up as the original box art, blue and white, and it does drive well, but not as good as the willy jeep.

I thought I would give a update on how the build is going, it’s slow going as I’m working a couple of weeks night shift 🙁 anyway, I have got as far as fitting the wood strips along the sides.

Yes will try and get it down from the loft and take some pictures, also have more boats to list 😉
Finally got it down from loft and it’s in worse condition than I remembered ☹️ Will clean it up and stick some of the bit that have broken back on 🙁

I’ve started and so far (touch wood) not had any real issues, made up jig to hold everything straight. Am still unsure what power option to go with, Enya 60 is out of my old Sea Queen, but think may use the brushless motor 😀.

I have been building this now for a few years, you know how it is something always comes up to stop the build. Wife wants something done in the house or daughter need help fitting new kitchen cuboards etc. I have now managed to get to the part where I need to paint and fit the radio bits.
