Many thanks for putting me in my place, Andy.
I hadn't considered the possibility of interference..... I was only trying something new and found a solution.
As I said, I was unable to get any help and I wasn't a member of this site at the time so I really had no help at all.
It may not be as big a problem here in Australia, as models actually operating are regularly few and far between. in any case any gatherings are strictly regulated and only one crystal set of the same frequency is allowed to operate at any time to avoid this issue. Also, Boats and Aircraft normally don't meet at the same locations....
We do actually have etiquette here, I will point out. if I saw another person within range who was operating an RC model of any type, I would ask him what frequency he/she was on before I even turned mine on. So we aren't exactly uneducated here on the other side of the planet.
Please keep in mind, it was just a thought.
Regards
Paul

Stuart, Hi.
I have a bit of info on something I worked out for a three-motor installation of my own on a 1/32 Perkasa.
I definitely wanted three motors controlled individually so I purchased 3 ESCs. To control this for on-the-spot turning I purchased a Radio set which is a programmable Aircraft unit, a JR Propo Max-66. The set allows V-tail and Delta-wing mixing.
The setup I chose was V-tail, which allows on the rudder setting for one motor forward and one back, so precision control is sorted. There is a switch which is programmable and allows the middle motor to be "cut-in" when operating all-forward together.
Keep in mind, three ESCs and a programmable radio are pricey, but hey it's big boys toys so I say go for it if the budget allows. ๐
If you (or anyone) need more info please send me a private message.
Regards
Paul

Yes size/scale of plans is not Important for me, I have a great copy-resizing business in my local town, who do town planning printouts etc. I can get the plans adjusted no problem.
Still have to look at what I have. I believe I did get an AutoCAD plot file or two from Les Brown at some point, as well as some photos and drawings he sent me, and a number of copies of original Vosper documents for various ships/boats I would like to build. So I am not sure exactly what I have for the Fire boat.
Will report in soon as I can look.

Hey there, Vosper-philes.
I also have need of the plans for a 34.5 inch Fireboat kit which looks like it should be set up as a flowerpot and not bothered with again..... All the ply decks and hull skin are de-laminating and the superstructure has been crushed, due to the git who posted the boat to me after an E-bay sale not packing it carefully. I won't dob him in unless someone asks me specifically who it was. ๐
Anyhoo, I need a copy of the Aerokits plans, if someone would like to help please.... I can pay with Paypal no problem.
The boat looks exactly like the one which was restored in Model Boats a while ago.... So I assume it is an Aerokits model.
Photos can be posted if anyone is interested, and I intend to put some up on the site while restoring her anyway.
Private message me if you can help or just reply to me here as I will be keeping up with the forums from here-on-in.
