Lovely afternoon at Fleetwood with no other boats in sight. Went for a first sail with Deans HMS Cossack, but a little unstable , so let snuffy loose. She needs an engine change from a 650 and a new paint job. So maybe next year. 😎 😎 😎
Motor has been left insitu, Prop shaft found to be vibrating and has now been fixed. Hull stripped back to bare wood and repainted in camoflage. Spray rails fixed to the hull have made a big difference to stability. Not on the original Aerokits drawings. Can now concentrate on Deans Cossack. Plenty of sheet lead for stability but looks good.
Finally managed to put a little film together of my 1.24 Grey Goose taken at the Herne bay regatta. As well as the usual turning guns, lights and ship sounds this boat fires working torpedo's using a CO2 gas system. Will be putting some film of this on youtube shortly. If your interested I'll be exhibiting at the Southern Model show this weekend and will demonstrate the torpedo system at the show. Hope to see you there.
Very nice model Hooper, must admit would have liked to see the torpedos fire on the video as unable to make the show ( to far for me) I have a 49" Perkasa MTB and would love to have firing torpedos. Take care Peter
Great video love the way the flag waved in the end!

Today Lulonga River steamer passed further navigation tests after replacing the ESC.(the new ESC are from HK...), working well, The electronics work reliably, problems with stability again, but this time with a transverse stability. Since the superstructures that I built are quite heavy, and the model also has a flat bottom, so setting up a balanced position is very sensitive, and somehow I can not. I try to stick around under the bottom of the line model, additional load. Perhaps it will also help the exchange wheel https://youtu.be/tr59Ipalx9g http://youtu.be/T-GNZ3Qzq1A
