DISMANTLE DARAGONFLITE 95

It definitely takes only a few minutes to de-rig both the Dragonflite and to make them easily transportable. We race them in our club, Eastbourne and District Model Yacht Club. (https://edmyc.org.uk/) You just unclip the main and jib sheets, then unhook fore and backstays and the whole rigging just lifts off. There are several rig bags available for storage or it is easy to make your own. There are four different rig sizes available to suit different conditions and in changeable conditions it is possible to change rigs between races.

Anyone know if there is a travel case for the Dragonflite 95. I know a polycarbonate one is made for the 65.

HELP ME DECIDE PLEASE

I have a 65, but not the latest version, and a Ragazza. The df65 is only 650mm so does not comply to IOM rules I would think, and from other forums, neither does the Ragazza, in spite of what it might say on the box. Not too sure of the Ragazza's failings with out finding the other forum but I think it is length of mast for a start. Chris

Hello Corm,no use for the 3rd chan on my yachts[Fairwind ] just yet,not sure what you could add?Is always useful though,better to have one extra available,switchable mast lights?Bob.

Another thought, are launching a One Meter yacht later this year. DragonFlite 95. Look on the internet for information. it looks very good. Good luck with your choice!

HI Robo177 I have a , Victoria & a Fiesta yacht, they are all very good. The is good but the rigging is fiddly, the parts are easy to upgrade. The Victoria is a lovely yacht, it sails in light winds, lots of information on the internet about tuning and upgrades. The Fiesta is a lovely yacht, it sails really well and is great fun, the kit is quite basic but great quality. All of these yachts are sailed in the area where I live!

Yacht racing rally, Victoria, Micro Magic, Dragon Force

Hello Sport Yacht Friendly Racing Club are continuing the yacht racing for small sport yacht designs held by SWAMBC previously. The next event Is at Apex Lake Burnham-on-Sea on the 11th May 2014. Our fleet Is currently made up of Thunder Tiger Victorias, Micro Magics and 65s. But any small yacht 65cm and less Is welcome. Racing Is to a simplified set of 5 rules. Please see the attached PDF. Skippers brief 10:00am and racing starts 10:30. Race entry fee Is £2 per yacht skipper. Allcomers welcome, we do require that all skippers have their own third party Insurance for model boating. There are no prizes, we race for the fun of It. Beginners' at racing or radio yachts are most welcome and there will be plenty of help and advice offered to get you up to speed. We also have 3 yachts available to hire If you don't have an eligible vessel.
