I'm sorry to say. But this is what I hear about Speed line time and time again. Someone will pop up and say about one of the main guys being ill. But this has been the "excuse" for well over 12 months. I also know of peple being kicked off forums for saying this as well ๐ค but the truth is the truth. I have some 1/16th(I think) lifeboat crew, which you can have if you are interested. I got them with a 1/12th Trent I bought, but they are nowhere near the right scale. Best of luck getting a response from

Streamline Models
Thanks for that Doug,
There are several hulls for Thames Barges available, but to me, a novice, the complexity of fittings required is rather daunting and the
speedline
kit does contain everything. The disadvantage is the smaller size whereas the Fleetscale hull is more in keeping with the size most common amongst model barge builders.
Cheers, Nerys.

Thames Barge kit.
Hi
Going on their advert it looks like an old H.F.M kit brought up to date, I had the H.F.M one back in 1990 that cost me all of ยฃ70.00, if I remember right I had to increase the under water size of the rudder.
As for sailing I don't remember much as after a few times out, I found that sail boats just was not my thing.
Sorry that I can not be any more help

Thames Barge kit.
Having had an interest and connections with Thames Sailing Barges going back to the days when they still carried cargo under sail, I am contemplating building a model. I am a relative newcomer to modelling, so am considering the
speedline
kit. What I really want to know is how this model sails. I'm not expecting speed, I just want to know if the performance is acceptable and she handles reasonably well. Hope someone can advise me.

Hello, Firstly is the lifeboat kit still for sale?
If so, does it come with instructions as well as plans for each stage of the build?
Finally, my budget would be around the ยฃ475 mark, would this be considered as a reasonable offer, obviously if not I fully understand. Thank you.

No excuse I know, but Adrian has been quite poorly and has spent some considerable time in hospital. He is now at home recovering so just keep trying, you are better contacting him by telephone rather than e-mail.

Power supply (temporary) for the charger.
Just wanted to thank you for posting all the valuable information on your build. I'm just getting back into the hobby after too many years away and appreciate the construction details that you include. it certainly appears that suppliers and craftsman in the UK are much more plentiful and involved in the hobby than I have found here in the US to date. I just started a Blue Jacket lobster boat to get my feet wet again but have my eye on a

I've had problems with them as well, with they're figure and missing parts contacted Adrian time and time again then finally an email from him saying there the parts are on route to me no sign, so back on the emails to him 2 weeks later they turn up, I think you just got to hound them.

Shannon class lifeboat
For my next project I am looking at building a Shannon class lifeboat. I have found much discussion on another site about the development of such a model earlier this year by
speedline
models.
However, this seems to have petered out and I can find no such mention on their website or anywhere else on the web.
Any knowledge anyone?

are doing both a 1/16th and a 1/12th scale "Shannon". The development process is quite close to being finished and the first kits should be available in October for those who have pre-ordered. As Jarvo has said a very close to completion model was on show at Haydock Park and as usual from
speedline
it is a work of art, the kit includes jet drives and motors developed by Adrian specifically for this kit. You can see quite a bit of information at: http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,51458.0.html (you need to be a member to view the pictures)
The kit won't be cheap and leans a little more to ARTR than previous
speedline
offerings. Looking forward to mine!!
