Robbe Dusseldorf Fireboat by roncoish Apprentice   Posted: 22 hours ago
Hi dperry285, I purchased the original Dusseldorf kit when made by Robbe approximately 10 years ago. It is still in the box unassembled. It came with black soft covered German instruction booklet (including photographs). Also enclosed was a similar booklet in French and English (photographs not included but numbered where they are meant to be). The French/English translation is 60 double sided pages. If this is what you need I would be happy to scan a pdf copy at no charge and email to you. Regards Ron

How to view and/or download posted PDF files :) by RNinMunich Fleet Admiral!   Posted: 2 months ago
Mornin' John, Where is this mysterious "My Pictures" button? Windows Explorer on a PC? File Manager on some other device, e.g. Dumbphone or Tablet? Android or Fruit? 😁 Cheers, Doug 😎

Hi Onetenor, What kind of device is it? And when did you first notice this?

When I click onto "My Pictures" I get the message "You are forbidden to access this file" I don't know why as I haven't installed any security features on my files. Anyone any ideas?👍👍

Hi Sandgrounder, Good stuff from Canabus BUT- If you are going to parallel connect batteries there are some safety rules to observe to prevent potential fires on board - ESPECIALLY IF USING TWO LiPos!! The two batteries must be identical types with the same capacity and state of charge. Otherwise the one with higher voltage will try to charge the other. This can result in high currents which represent a high fire risk - most especially with LiPo Power 😡 To prevent this you need a pair of high current blocking diodes between the batteries - fast Schottky diodes. If you are electronically minded this is easy to do yourself. If not, Component Shop market an Action Electronics module to do the job. Spec attached as PDF. Link to purchase is below You can buy the board here (No I don't have shares in the company but have used several A.E. modules and they are well made good quality👍) I think 15 quid is a good price to protect the rest of your investment 😉 Have fun, cheers, Doug 😎

Ship rudders by RNinMunich Fleet Admiral!   Posted: 2 months ago
Mornin' Toby, I'm back😁 Pardon the delay, just finished tidying up the wiring and final running tests on Colin's Taycol Supermarine motor and converter board - to make it run off a standard brushed ESC! The rivets look great👍 and the last pic was much better as well😊 Soooo many rivets 😲 guess you have to do them in batches, and then go pull up a tree or something, or you'd go doolally 😡 And I thought I was patient doing all the portholes and stanchions on my 4' 6" 1936 destroyer - that was ONLY hundreds! Rivets? Didn't even contemplate that!! I think you should continue this in a proper Build Blog - there's lotsa good stuff you're doing here👍 And at the end you can make a pdf file of the whole story with just a few clicks😉 Be a nice memento👍 Look forward to the Launch Report. During my career I attended the launches of several naval ships I had worked on,designing the COMMS systems. The funniest one was a glass fibre minehunter at the Intermarine yard in Italy near La Spezia. The ship was still in dry dock, like a huge bath. They turned on the 'taps' and slowly up came the ship! Keep up the good work, cheers, Doug 😎 BTW; were you sitting on the saw to help keep awake? 😁😁

Tag Helmut, Just left click on the Adobe icon so the Media Gallery opens with the larger icon. Left click on [Download], top left corner of the media gallery window. Windows will then ask you if you want to Save or Open the file. left click 'Open', your pdf reader will open it. You can then save it to wherever you want. If you are using a 'Dumbphone' - I don't know🤔 I don't! Cheers, Doug 😎

I might be foolish, but I am not able to open the pdf files I have attached myself. What do I have to do so that I do not get to see just the image indicating it is a pdf file I have attached, but the pdf file itself? Second question: What I would like to do is that what is in the pdf file would appear online on the screen and I would be adding photos to the text I the way my attached pdf file does contain? When hitting the button on top "Post New Build Update" all I found out what I can do is to write text as I do here and attache a pdf file as I have done previously.

Sorry, I have not yet understood how to publish my report from scratch in this forum. I have attached a pdf archive with what would be my first contribution. This does not look for me to be the right way of publishing here.

fuse holder by RNinMunich Fleet Admiral!   Posted: 2 months ago
Yep!👍 Spec attached as pdf. Strictly speaking the LED simply indicates the polarity of the voltage applied to it. Which way the motor turns depends on how you wired it. But it does help with setting up the wiring and response to TX throttle stick.😉 Easy enough to make though, as I did for my Sea Scout. See pic of 'Engine Room'. Or the Taycol field motor converter boards I've made for Martin and Colin. Two fuses are fitted; one for the field coil, one for the armature. Last two pics. Resettable fuses (contact breakers) are also available to fit these holders. Cheers, Doug 😎

See attached Martin, Same procedure to open as with the pdf. "Foghorn? What foghorn? " The one that sounds to tell me that a new post has arrived on the site. See above the list of Active users on the right of the screen - [Toggle Sound]. "Sullivan," Ronnie 'The Rocket' O'Sullivan. "Trump?" Judd 'The Ace in the Pack' Trump. Finalists in the Northern Ireland Open Snooker Championship. One of the 'Home Nations Series'; England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Alles klar Herr Kommissar? Cheers, Doug 😎
