As before, different to sail a single sail as compared to a Bermuda rig . Still, it's fun and easy to sail. Cheers. Ken, thanks for the tip to send a picture as well. I know know how to do it, thanks To Doug. (ESC: Scratch build) (8/10)

Looking good Nerys, give me a shout on your next visit.
Alice dry now ? After her ordeal with the post?
Saturday sail went well, we had a influx of Barry boat club members as well, we are all there for the same reason.
Nice to see a different set of boats on the water, they are mainly scale boats.
Very mild breeze to start with, then started to blow a bit later on. Good day out, ready now for the next trip
    Cheers for now

    Hi simple sailor.
You have to show that you have taken steps to protect your members, the public, and any workers.
We drew a diagram of our parking area along side the lake, when we park our cars side by side, just enough to open the car doors without touching , that would indicate two metres. We sail our boats from in front of our car, still-two metre away from each other ,we will wear gloves when needed to open, or shut our entrance post (gate).if needed we can sail along the side of our lake, still maintaining two metres. Keep an eye out for the general public , and inform them of the two metre distance guidelines.
Or make up a notice board reminding them of the two metre.

That the general idea, we actually drew a diagram with all this on ,and sent a copy to all our members, and a copy to our council. They were very happy with it and gave us permission to start to sail again...hope you can understand it, and . hope all that helps mate...
    Cheers
    Ken.

As far as I know, the Knap lake belongs to the people of Barry, not the council, although they look after it?
Any one can take a model boat and sail it on the lake, at any time, they don’t need insurance or a risk assessment for that, to park on the hard standing they need insurance, against public liability.
    Cheers

Hi Nerys, not just now , their interest of health and safety.
We had to provide a policy to be able to get permission to sail as a club, and use the car park hard standing, and we had to show we have insurance.
    Cheers

Yes Nerys, it is when the Senedd say, not individual councils.
I think what he meant was , when the senedd says yes, the council will give us the go ahead. We have to provide the council with a new safety policy, to show that we have taken steps to provide protection for our members, council workers and the general public, I think you may have had a copy from Richard, and is now ready to go to the council for approval.
    Cheers for now Nerys
Hope to see us all sailing again soon.

Hi captain Nerys, due to the countries condition, I’ve been unable to check out the Bristol area , due to being locked in, in my absence, my wife has just started to venture outside, so she has been my eyes for now until I am able to do so myself.
Hope this correspondence finds you, and your Wife Alice in good spirits. I’ve been working on my Barge Veronica a bit more lately, and now showing signs of getting there.
