Further to my last post. Thank you to those members that provided me with suggestions and their input.
Another request please. Do any of the members have in their possession a copy of the book
"Combat fleets of the world. 1976-1977"
My digging around has found that a couple of pictures exist in this book. It might come under "Malaysian" or Malaya, The boat might be known as Sangsetia, Sangsetta or PX11 if someone could post or message me those pictures I would be extremely grateful.

Hi Paul!
Here's a 600dpi scan for you of the "SANGSETIA." Her two Mercedes Diesels produced 2700 hp and pushed her 80 tons at 29 kts. She had 2 20mm machine guns and a crew of 15. Measurements were 29.29 x 5.70 x 1.45. My youngest daughter Emily dropped off the "Combat Fleets" book this weekend. 😊 Here's a 600dpi scan for you. Let me know if I can do an even higher-rez scan for you. I will also ask Emily if she can digitally draw anymore info from the picture. 😉 Best -- Guy

Hello, I have been off the air for a good 18 months, A move to Vancouver Island from the mainland, and working on the house has taken up much of our time, enjoyable and rewarding as it was. The story so far
Enough of that. I set out to build a David Metcalf model of the Sangsetia. I ran into all kinds of issues, and if I'm honest I probably should have started with a kit. After redrawing the ribs I restarted the build, and most of the hull has been planked. Then the move to the island. My initial plan was to build the hull in wood and then draw in CAD the fittings and 3D print them. Surgery last October had me doing nothing until the end of January 25.
In that time I decided to draw the hull and fittings and a JPG will show the progress to date.
Its a labour of love, which has given me much pleasure and satisfaction. Boats are challenging to draw. I am using Alibre software.It is my aim to print the hull, and what you see is the sections.
Here's my problem, and I am asking for help from boat modellers with many more years of experience than I have.
I have been researching the Sangsetia, and I can find precious little about her. The avenues I have pursued have led me to a dead end. A chap on Model Boat Mayhem went this route years ago, and the information he shared stated that the plans are inaccurate, and much of the detail incorrect. That being said has anyone have pictures of the Sangsetia. Please note, I have photos from the Malayasian Police Facebook, so that bridge has been crossed. Can anyone please suggest any other avenues I could pursue. I thank you in advance.

My daughter found a copy up in New London at the legendary Book Barn. I’ll see her this weekend and do a 300 dpi scan as well.

I've done a bit more poking about, and came across a website called internet archives. It's basically a huge library. I was lucky enough to find a photo of the Sangsetia, in the book Combat fleets of the world 1976/77. The photo is not great, however it does give me some idea of what should be present and what should not. I wasn't able to download the photo, so had to be content with a camera shot. It's better than nothing at all. For those looking for information on certain vessels, you might be lucky to gleen information from a site like this.
Anyway, I thought I would share my findings
