Do remember to seal(clear varnish or lacquer) over the vinyl decals or they will not last long in water. Happy New Year to everyone.

Second trip on water in 30yrs plus it's what's known as long build
Upgraded from first sail from 3 blade 9.6v ni-cad to 4 blade 12v ni-mh
Speed and handling are fine for grand children at this time will wind it up at a later date

Thanks for the input but the boat is now rigged up as best as I can afford having been using this site for a couple of months now(Great Web Site).
I may not be able to keep to the original plan I had due to my two Grandsons input (Hence the Dr Who figures in the stern and now one in the cabin at the helm) great tip for anyone wanting 1-12 scale figures(Captain Jack looks great in his uniform)

Have had this boat 30 years .Started it for my eldest son but never finished. But now with two boys of his own I am determined to give it my best shot.
Completly stripped it, repaired delaminated sections,took out all the gear (motor,radio,servos) and started again.
I will update progress as time goes on but I am determined this will be on the water this year.
