The fin does submerge due to the fact that it's hollow and there is a square cut out near the top that is camouflaged with screen painted at the same time as the fin.

Spoke with the Editor of Model Boats Magazine last year, I had placed an order in 2014 for some Graupner figures. they charged my Credit Card but I never received anything from them not even correspondence. Paul told me that when the old man retired the kids totally dropped the ball, shame really as they carried nice stock. A lot of people here in North America have experienced the same things, I guess if you can go into the shop and buy something right off of the shelf you are ok.

Could only go on Saturday, met up with friends, took lots of photo's of the boats, and enjoyed running my "Ten Cents" Tugboat. I was also able to photograph the scenes used from the Canadian tv production of Murdock Mysteries. All in All a great day!!
