This is exactly the stuff. I have never had problems with it. Its cheap and can be used for other things (sticking things to walls and not leaving stains). It sticks well and can easily be replaced. It seems to loose its stickyness with oils or dirt contaminating it. Obviously it is not suited to continuous underwater useage but it does withstand occassionally get wet

I have built Drumbeat and can say its a lovely model. I enjoyed it for many years before I actually (stupid me) sold it. Yet another model I regret getting rid of to make more space

Only solution is to move everything towards the stern!!!! Its a big undertaking but the only safe answer. Adding weight at the stern will just reduce freeboard and that will cause other problems

I see there is a suggestion to add a boom to the mainsail. These barges did not have a boom and any mods like that will not be an accurate representation of the original

Its better that you redesign the system so you have a continous loop running off the winch with sheets attached to the loop. The loop need to be tensioned with some sort of spring
