Yes, I had realised that it was mixing the esc signals so the description whilst helpful was not complete as the type of esc probably doesn't matter to it.
Unlike the one I have purchased for driving two small brushed motors directly from the mixer. To drive a small cat' model.

Meccano/Mamod one. I've not seen the Meccano vertical boiler.

It is interesting to see these older models when they come round. I always look out for them on displays at the fairs, not that I am in the market to buy just interested. Although I am occasionally offered things like the Meccano steam boiler a friend passed on to me earlier this year.

I too like the look of that motor. How many poles has it got on the armature?

Wow, it makes my paddle steamer project look small.
You will need a gear reduction on an electric motor. I have an MFA 540 size with a gearbox that I intend to use. They can be bought with some serious reduction that gives a huge torque increase. Creative coupling could see the pistons working in real time. Good luck

I guess this is why most of us build the fresh out of the yard version rather than the old well used true to life. ๐Ÿ˜€

I agree with you it looks great. I love to see others handiwork and the standard of construction is usually very high. Great console for the kids. ๐Ÿ‘

There's not much buoyancy to spare once it is loaded? Would have been difficult to manoeuvre.

I was with friends at Hoylake boating lake yesterday and one of them has a Fairey Huntsman kit to build without instructions. Does Dave have the build instructions for his by any chance, such that he could share the information with us? So his kit can be built without too much guess work.

I enjoyed many years of paddling mostly fiberglass kayaks. This looks a beautiful double, were the originals skin on birch construction?

Sadly the Internet bots they use pick up the searches or interests we have and use them against us.

I was at Crosby too, great variety of models. The mulberry was the work of one man whose father had been there. he had been the driver of one of the trucks. I had an interesting chat with him, sorry but I didn't get his name.

    Hi
I too have a Stirling kit build of a Chris Craft Cruiser. The Catalina, I was given it during the Covid pandemic, with the hull and cabin built. I didn't like the cabin much so re-made most of that but the hull was OK. It was a very satisfying project, and I think I now have the "bug".
It was my first, and so far, only boat build, but, I have just purchased plans for a Windermere paddle steamer. I now need to clear enough space to build it.
