A bit of fun Das Boot
Boat related in the loosest sense.
Created from an old Wellington boot, a takeaway cover, some plaster, a plant saucer and a coat hanger.
Don't think I'll be sailing this one but it'll give the neighbours something to talk about

Billing RNLI Waveny Class
Recently picked this up from our club sale at the lake and made a start. A quick resume so far: checked all was complete , previous owner has already made up the prop assembly but used slightly larger size than the original ones which were still in the kit. This has resulted in me having to ever so slightly raise the shafts on their mounting struts so that the propellers clear the hull. Not sure on size of motors yet, will be working on that alongside the servo for the rudder etc with the space restrictions and access. Have been looking at some videos of other people's builds and sen that they'd cut out the stern cabin to allow access to the rudder servo and also made the cockpit removable for access to the motors, esc, etc plus the "bulkhead " which the cockpit would normally have been glued to had been partially removed to again give access. So this has been carried out. Along with spraying the hull and partially the deck, cockpit is also work in progress.

Push tug rescue
One of my first attempts at building from scratch, although my rc "expertise " was very limited and I couldn't get it to work properly, so shelved for the duration. Now brought back to "life " as the need for a "rescue craft" /on the odd occasion when at the lake on my own-I always take a spare vessel and tx with me, but nosing a striken boat back to shore with a "pointy bow " is difficult .
So stripped out the rudder, realigned the prop tube as that wasn't central and replaced the water cooled motor which was ineffectual with a brushed motor, possibly a 340 from the spares box . Hopefully I can finish off this weekend and give it a test run

Gravy boat
A fun project to hopefully bring a smile .
Picked this up for the grand sum of ยฃ2.99.
A "bit " unsteady afloat, however some ballast will sort this out. Initial problem is trying to make a suitable hole for the prop shaft in the ceramic. Think I need to invest in some new drill bits as taking longer than I thought it would. More to follow
