There are 2 sizes of RAF crash tender fireboats (34.5 & 46 inch) but seems SLEC only sell the smaller 34.5 inch if I am not mistaken and the accessories sized to match. If you got your bits from SLEC that you are now selling then they would be the smaller scale and not the larger for the bigger boat. If they are the smaller parts then I would be interested in buying them for 1 of my 3 fire boats.

Thanks to Doug and also to Red with help. Seems my RTTL is the Mk 1B which has no. 2754 and I presume to be built from a Vic Smeed plan judging by some of the pics. My boat is numbered 2468 which I do not think is correct as this is too low to be in the range used for the RTTL's. The boat is a runner and only needs a general clean up/small renovation (like the mast/aerials) but could do with some fittings to bring it more like the original boat on which it was based. However I shall be concentrating initially on equipping the unfinished RAF crash tender I bought with it. I also have another 3 crash tenders, two of which are almost ready to sail (just need a few extra fittings for more authenticity) and the other (never finished by its builder) is in need of much rework/correction in places, strip/re-paint and then running gear installed. All 4 crash tenders (35" versions) do not have a mast but I have seen some good build blogs/info within the site to help which I will look at in more detail later.

Could you possibly send pics of both types to me as I have an RTTL with a badly damaged mast that I am about to renovate. Not sure yet of the make of model boat.
