Hi, Thanks for your advise I will look into the product. I do like the idea of having four screws turning as it would be in keeping with the real thing. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi, I am going to build a Deanes Marine 1.24 scale FairMile dog Boat, The supplier recommends either four motors or two Motors, I would rather go down the Two motor easier route and they recommend two M800 motors will that be ok with one 12volt battery also can anyone suggest what speed controller to use with this set up.

Hi I am building a Sarik model Bristol Pilot Cutter at the moment and it is based on the Breeze the picture I have just looked at is not either a Breeze or Katie as the stern is not the right shape as the rudder goes from top to bottom outside the Hull.

    Regards

    Jon.

HI yes sorry I wrote diode instead of resistor, not sure what you need resistor wise but pre wired diodes normally have coated wiring.

HI They are wired like that on my model railway station platform lights. Run on 12 volts through a resistor to illuminate three lights. I did buy a three volt power supply in the end. If like mine the wires are coated with enamel.

Hi Ron, When I was about twenty years old i lived in London and crossed Battersea bridge every day going to work, I used to see all the barges on the Thames moored up and the fuel powered Tugboats taking them to from their moorings every day but they all long gone know. I do not get down there much now but i was down there a couple of years ago just sight seeing and walking over Battersea bridge i noticed in the old dry dock someone was restoring an old Thames sailing Barge and it looked well in advance, nice to see but not close enough to take photo's unfortunately. I think towards the end of the barge use they shipped all London refuge to the Estuary and tipped it on waste land.

No Worries Dave I ordered two Hopefully get them sometime around Christmas but I still have loads to do and the Sails won't arrive until around March. I could have got them from Canada or Australia for twice the price but as I have time it really does not matter. I looked at your setup and it looks reasonably easy to make just put together the parts pulley wheels etc.

Thanks Graham I will use this type of Servo as they probably won't take up as much room as a lever arm and as they are tried and tested I will stick with it. Cheers Jon

Hi All, I am looking for a bit of help choosing a Servo or servo's for the sails on my 1/12 scale pilot cutter although i have ordered four sails i only intend to use three and keep the top sail for the future perhaps. The plans shows only one servo for four sales, Any idea's would be appreciated.

Hi Andy, to be honest i have not thought about that side of things yet, I ordered a set of four sail's for her today, but at the moment i like the picture of on Sarik model web site showing her with three sails and i think that is the way i will go. Still along way to go.
