This club is one of the friendliest model boating clubs I have had the chance to be a member. It is unfortunate that my health has not been great for the last couple of years , plus that this year my beloved wife has passed on. I am hoping to get back to see all the wonderful members who became good friends.
oIf you are in the vicinity especially on a weekend try to pop in I am sure you will be made welcome.๐

I am having trouble with the superstructure in that I cannot decide how the front is meant to be made. I am hoping that one of you guys can point me in the right direction. I canโt believe that after 60 years of building model boats I am so confused. The boat has a fibreglass hull, I am making the superstructure of ply and any other relevant material.
Any advice shall be welcome.๐ค

Thatโs funny, I have had the same problem. At the moment I have been viewing the site through Safari itโs a pity but I love the site

Perhaps you have answered the question your self, wet and dry and after a couple of coats you should find it smooth and without blemish. This is the time to ensure there is no dust around.
A good idea is to try and make a shelter around the boat and wet it before giving it the final cost of a good quality gloss paint.
It really is just a matter of perseverance and you should have a great finish.
Good luck!

Can anyone help with any information about the liner France. I am interested in starting a long term project and have had an interest in this ship. I have searched for A plan and description of this ship without success.
Any information would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

The first boat I built from a plan with a round bilge hull. I built it some 45 years ago still love it (Motor: Ex government motor) (6/10)
