    (Working Vessel) Leilah Marie
Fibreglass hull and top.deck is hand laid planking with black card in between to simulate caulking.props are prop shop three blades at 55mm each working radar and search lite. Mainmast lights consist of white over red, learned this very early in my career first thing you see when pilot comes aboard is his white hair, followed by his red nose..... full lighting system. Plus nav lights (Motor: GHD) (ESC: Hobbyking) (8/10)

Ships ariels were I assume something to do with the d.f. Signals sent from downed aircraft to the HSL,or the D.f. Picking up signals, the D.F. (Direction Finder) could rotate 360 degrees thus picking up signals within the distance.

Hi thanks for the interest, the boat sails extreemly well, either on slow or fast speeds steering is good. On this model I sheeted between the frames under the hull, and the sides from frame 3 to the stem I planked sometimes horizontal and some vertical to get the best shape . Once I got the shape required I used p38 and sanded down, I did this several times until I was happy with results once painted it looked different again as you can see by photographs. Hope this helps

Hi. This is my 2nd scratch built boat since lock down began. The first was the H S L 103 finished 6/7 weeks ago. Still waiting to be tested outside of workshop. This one is built on a fibre glass hull, and has a length of 44 inches and a beam of 16. My power plant is twin out runner motors purple power. 600kv, running through twin 70 amp ESC and with 4 cell 5000 amp lipos feeding them. All accommodation is made using 6 mm three ply. And every fitting you see on the boat was scratch built by me. Lighting system is 12 v grain of wheat .props are three bladed brass 45 mm by prop shop

Super tug and steering wonder. Bought as a kit and made from wood and plastic.
There was no instructions, and without them a nightmare.eventually getting them put the basics into perspective, eventually building the boat.i changed the motor to a 480 and made my own propshaft on the lathe, also a brass rudder, which is operated by mini servo. The esc is a 10 amp m.troniks which works great small but powerful, turns in its own length to port and starboard either astern or forwards

Had her maiden voyage last week.nice and quiet, and weather nice. On placing her in the water ready to sail the waterline was spot on. No ballast required except batteries, slowly took her to the end of the lake, nice and steady then brought her back still on slow speed, happy she was behaving herself, sent her back on less than half power, turned her around and gently increased her speed, about three quarters, up on the plane easy, The keel was virtually parallel to the water way back to the begining of the accommodation. Just like the rum runners during prohibition or drug smugglers of today. Unfortunatly although I had my camera, it was impossible to do the boat and take photos,so will take somebody with me next time.

Scratch built, made up as I went along started off with single prop but much better wth 3 bladed, size is 24 x about 10. Model driver is KEN. And has been decapatated once and rebuilt using another head. Speed is good but steering not brilliant on one rudder.
