Don’t know very much about this boat as I took it on to renovate. I know it is a Billings model and will post more when known. Cheers, Ian

    Hi Martin,
Thanks for that info. I realise this controller is basically an antique and finding info is difficult. Just what I needed.

I have the above speed controller in a model boat and want to fuse the battery feed. Does anyone know what the ampere rating of this Item is as I am having trouble sourcing it.

    Hi Doug ,
Regarding the Hotel Speed Controller, I’m sure you realise that it was a typo error and should have been Hitec Speed Controller.

    Hi Colin and Doug,
I’m uploading a photo of the Coast Guard boat, still needs work doing on the upper structure. I’ve reworked the rudder linkage as it was not very positive. I’ve also acquired a receiver and am now awaiting delivery of the battery pack.

    Hi Doug,
I’m 74 so I guess I would be classed as vintage.
The guy I got the boat from said he found it in his father’s loft when he was clearing it after he had passed so I reckon you would be correct in saying it was 70’s ish.
It was reasonably built but requires some attention and TLC.

That is brilliant Doug, I must admit I haven’t come across a speed controller like this before. I assume this boat was built quite some time ago.

I have decided to sell my Tamar.
It has working lights and radar and is powered by two Graupner Eco 600 motors.
Fitted out with Action Electronics including :-
    P92 power distribution board.
    P94 Duel ESC / Mixer.
P95/1 and 2 Single and twin indicator fuse boards.
    P79 Condor 10 / 2 ESC.
P100 Noisey Thing Digital sound playback system.(twin MAN diesels)
    P101 15 watt Audio mixer/booster.
    Bow thruster unit.
    6 channel Futaba receiver.
A 2.4GHz transmitter will be required as I still require mine for other models.
The boat comes with a protective crate and removable wheels to facilitate moving the model at the lakeside and transporting.
Β£900 No Offers as I think this is a fair price.
Due to size it will be pick up only and cash on delivery.

At last apart from the identification numbers and name I have finally completed my scratch built Solent.
    I used the Aerokit plans.
Have set up the transmitter to tank steer the props to help with the steering. All I need now is to get it on the lake. Have had it in the bath and no leaks and sits well in the water.

I am in the process of building the Solent Class Lifeboat and am trying to find photos and information on the interior of the cabin.

Hull and Cabin drawings but not deck fittings. I guess the deck fitting would have to be produced from photographs or purchased from a model suppliers or on line.

    Hi Guys,
Have any of you built this model from scratch?
I am having a problem understanding the instructions for the design of the
    tunnels at the stern end.
It says to use a balsa block and thin plywood but am stuck as to how to do this.
Have you any photos etc.that could help me.
