Thames Sailing Barge. βKittyβ
Scratch built by myself.
Sails were curtesy of a Boat Club friend.
A backup motor was installed for rescue if wind disappeared.

Coast Guard Boat
Donβt know very much about this boat as I took it on to renovate.
I know it is a Billings model and will post more when known.
Cheers,

Thames Barge - "Kitty"
This is a my first scratch build and is based on a free plan issued with Model boats magazine.
At the moment I am at the hull stage and am just about ready to fibre glass the interior before sorting out the motor mount, prop shaft and sail control items before installing the deck.
When the fibre glassing is finished I reckon most of the rest will be a winter project.
After a 12 month absence I can now submit a few pictures of my nearly completed Thames Barge 'Kitty'.
All I now require is a false keel and set of sails, which a club member is making for me.
It has been a long slog fitted in between my other interests etc. but I am quite pleased with the result so far.
Thanks to our club members for their advice and help. As a rooky with regards to scratch building it has been a very worthwhile project.
Attached are a few piccies of how it looks at the moment.

As my next project I am thinking of building the Mountfleet Model of the Al Khubar Tug.
Do any of you guys know what suitable motors would be required.
I understand that the props required are like schottel drives. Any advice would be appreciated. Ian

I have decided to fit out the ships boat for my Clyde puffer but not sure how this should be done correctly.
I would appreciate any advice or photos to give me some idea how to complete this task.

Still to finish off the rigging and the ships boat.
Not sure if I should complete the model of the ships boat and leave it upside down on the hatch cover of have it upright.

The steam/smoke generator didnβt have a manufacturers make name.
I bought it from Modelboatbits with a remote switch operated via receiver and a spare switch on my transmitter.
