    RC Benchy (a 3D Print)
    So I started on my SLEC RAF Crash Tender, was going well, when I was bought a 3D printer for my Birthday and after a few creations decided for my Grandson I would attempt a 3D printed boat, anyone who has a Creality printer will know the build test Benchy Tug model to check out the printer settings, on Thingiverse I found someone who had done a great build/print of a 3D RC model of Benchy, so I thought that would be a good model for a 5 year old to enjoy sailing, a bit of fun especially when I add Mickey Mouse to the mix in the cabin, so see attached photos and watch my progress, to print all the parts I reckon its taken 14 days and used 1kg i.e. a full reel of PLA filament Now its filling, sanding and assembly... easier said than done

    I finished my Billings Smit Nederland after 30 years and finished my Dad’s Robbe Anjet fishing boat as a memory to him passing away, all in lockdown without accessing this site, wish I’d found it earlier I’m now building a SLEC RAF crash tender and members on this site have built some beautiful models providing inspiration, none of my boats have made it for their maiden voyage yet, fingers crossed 2021 will get them christened

    Yeah I was the same work taking me abroad and using up all my time, I’ve also completed my Dad’s fishing boat Antje in lockdown had to make a lot of the parts myself as Mum had thrown them out, will add some pictures to my harbour
