STB Grey Seal
This is one of a few ships introduced in ww2 as steam turbines all variants of Grey only 7 were built out of 55 ordered from the period 1940 to 45 sold in 1949
She is a fibreglass hull wood deck with metal fittings I am told itβs Fine scale hull with a top made following I am waiting for back from fine-scale to confirm this a few details are missing but can remedy that it is one of there boats.
It turned out it was as some was special orders due to the variants in armament Grey Seal had a different configuration where as Grey Owl was double props and more guns and was wider

Fairey Huntress speedboat
A recent acquisition she goes like stink, complete with ken and barbs! I might have to up grade its speed controllers they generate a lot of heat even with auxiliary fans I have kept the auxiliary fans but have up graded the speed controllers to two big Mitronics sort I have now brought back in the water to assist with the heat
I am going to introduce a folding mast as this one makes moving the boat difficult
Latest improvement is to reintroduce the water cooled ESC caused bit of a headache itβs previous owner had blocked the intake it improved the boat a lot
Iβve spent the weekend re varnishing the deck and removing the mast so it can moved for transport as it sticks up a bit this a tall boat next idea is some sort of loading holder for the car

Corvette kromanste
these boat was made by Vosper the commission in 1963 for the Ghana navy and saw service till 1988, this model was acquired in 2022, Its a wooden kit powered by a single brushed motor the superstructure is bit crude but in need of a fettle the real problems are in the hull with bits paint damage , that will me strip back and repaint
That is my starting point so week one since i have two boats on the go at once each in turn has its own problems

Kiel craft 43 inch Raf tender
This boat was made from the first batch of models in the 1960 it's well built and along the way has lost a few white metal parts and middle floor section and the odd dinged from storage.the boat was never finished as its maker went on to other projects
I got as far as testing it in bath doesn't leak so now we will start on its rebuild Neil very kindly me sent me the plans for the boat and i have acquired set of scaled down 43 inch plans to 34 so that helps a bit
