I have taken taken all the advice on board and started stripping off the paint to see whats going on seems a lot of filler has been used on this side to sort out a mistake when it was made.
The other side flows well in its shape funny enough I saw another one of the same sort and that had the same crease is it a design fault on the nearside forward

a stay sail is what keeps a fishing boat into a wind this loaded question is fine if you understand the logic of a yachtsman as tacking was turning your boat so that the wind was from the other side best to stick to motor boat questions in the future

Its only when you start something do you wonder where it leads my interest is Royal navy ship and auxiliary vessels and thats so far has lead to 24 pages of makes and models this is not a easy task and I can see why its not been done before its the variants of the same models thats become difficult to list

This has become a challenge is it possible to get this added by our web leader as a on going section as I think for all us new sailors and even the senior ones a history of our boats is of great interest to all so what I am suggesting is
Maker model size scale picture of boat as sample nothing else I know the boat harbor does it but a A to Z list

Then came from a friends model railway he had them as house boats amazingly enough they was out in all weathers for six years and are very sound and water tight And No Wood worm I will post some photos in due course point of interest they are 30 inch ones according to keilcraft scale 3/4 to 1 foot
    So old boats never Die!

Thanks for the advice on this one I’ll put it away in the loft for a rainy day, I have four other boats requiring degrees off attention so loads to go on with I like other people have multiple retirement things to do like driving a 1840s beam engine 😮😊😊

I take it that a single prop comes out the middle and the prop support goes in that slot in the base of the boat between the rudders so where do I go with boat I don’t like ditching things but it’s a mess

This a recent acquisition its a wooden kit some radio gear inside but all rather dated the mid section seems well made the body shell has a few issues the port side forward has this kink in the wood work and a sharp edge at the bottom of the tip outer skin see photos its dimensions is 48 by12 seems a bit is missing is this just a scale up version of the 35 inch one by PRECEDEHT this a single motor version
