Hi, Roy, as we have had a question about the Voit Schneider propulsion system a while ago, I jumped straight in with the "wrong" answer โ˜น๏ธ. (April 7th qotd).

As for the April 8th one, Ai must have been reading this month's Model Boats magazine about building the Swallows & Amazon dinghy kit, by John Mileson. He mentions the garboard strakes next to the keel.๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€ A very good read on building a clinker type dinghy kit ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜, and also giving us the correct answer !!

I didn't have a real clue with this one (April 4th). They all seemed to be the Latin scientific name of corals.
So I spent ages on google to figure it out ๐Ÿ˜Œ so in effect I cheated โ˜น๏ธ๐Ÿ˜”.
It did not make it easy even on google as the correct answer had been renamed "Desmophyllum pertusum" as simplesailor mentioned.

As for Ai breeding as roycv mentioned , googling that came up with-

Key Aspects of AI "Breeding" and Evolution:
    * Self-Replication & Evolution: AI systems, particularly in research settings, can self-replicate and create new versions of themselves, often outperforming human programming.โšก๐Ÿ˜ฎ.
    * Digital Evolution: If AI attains autonomy over energy and manufacturing, it could form a "digital civilization" capable of expansion without human intervention.โšกโšก
    * Generative AI: Modern AI uses generative algorithms to create synthetic data, which is analogous to producing new "genotypes" or offspring in simulation".

It is quite frightening, Terminator is not too far away !!!โ˜น๏ธโ˜น๏ธ.
    Cheer me up somebody...๐Ÿ˜”โ˜น๏ธโšก.

    Hi Boatshed,
As far as I know ๐Ÿค” Ai sets the questions, that is why many of them have been repeated several times thus making it easier to get them correct--if you have a good memory ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜. As Alessandro say's "A Revision Question" !!๐Ÿ˜Š.
Today's question 24th about the Exxon Valdez oil spill I remembered it well because of the Environmental disaster it caused ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜  and the implementation of all oil tankers having to have double skinned hulls to help stop oil pollution ( we had a q-o-t-d a while back regarding double skin hulls on oil tankers ).๐Ÿ˜ Also Ai doesn't always get it right ๐Ÿ˜ .

The question was very confusing ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”, as I thought at first that the vessels were heading towards each other not heading in a similar direction??๐Ÿ™„. But if that was the case with my first idea, then both vessels would see the other on their same side !!! So I went for the l-o-n-g-e-s-t answer to be on the safe side ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.

I have just done an AI on your question and it has come up with this-๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ™„

An older Spektrum DX6i that fails to retain settings (like servo reverse) and reverts to model 1 is
likely suffering from a failed internal memory capacitor, corrupted memory, or, most commonly, severely degraded battery power/contacts. The transmitter cannot save data because its internal power is too low to maintain settings when the main batteries are turned off.
    Immediate Troubleshooting Steps:
Check Battery Voltage: Ensure your AA batteries are fully charged and putting out adequate voltage. Low batteries frequently cause memory loss in older DX6i units.
Clean Battery Contacts: HeliFreak users recommend cleaning the battery contacts and checking the tension of the spring clips in the battery tray to ensure a tight connection.
Check "Back" to Main Screen: When making changes, always return to the main screen (where the model name and voltage appear) before turning off the transmitter. Turning it off while in a menu can prevent saving.
Perform a Factory Reset: Model Boat Mayhem suggests holding the sticks down and outward while powering on the transmitter to trigger a factory reset. You can also go to Setup List -> Copy/Reset -> Reset.
Replace Transmitter Batteries: If you are using rechargeable AA batteries, they may be old and not holding a charge under load. Try a brand-new set of alkaline batteries.
If these steps do not fix the issue, the internal non-volatile memory or the component responsible for holding settings is likely dead, which usually requires a repair from "Horizon Hobby" or replacing the transmitter.
Hope this gives you something more to try, Steve..๐Ÿ™„

Hi Pat, I also put "Keel" as it is such a easy answer to anyone that builds model boats and I also have a red mark !!!!!๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ .
The only thing that I did differently this time, was to have only just answered the 13th Feb question and then I reloaded the page again 10 minutes later for the new question-- but I got no confetti. That I couldn't understand. Then when I scrolled down the page and saw my red mark!!!!!!!!!๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃโ˜น๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ญ.
Such a easy one to get correct, and if I had got this wrong I think that I would go out and sink my keel-less boats ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.
Strange because the Keel answer has 100% correct answers at this time ??? 12.29 am.

Hi, Stephen. If you want to run two batteries in parallel to more or less double the current capacity, have a look at the "Battery Parallel Board" The P103 from Component-Shop.
You can buy it ready to use, or get it as a kit. Or you can buy the double Schottky diode from the internet and with a suitable heatsink build your own for the third of the price.๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜Š.
I tried to buy a kit a couple of years ago and they were out of stock so I downloaded their circuit diagram and instructions sheet (Components Shop) and etched a board and build my own. I needed the unit in a hurry to power my HDML and it's been working now for a long time with no problems ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€. Their unit is, I believe ๐Ÿค” rated at 20amps and only drops about 0.2 to 0.3volts whereas an ordinary diode/rectify drops 0.6volts..
The idea of the board is to stop one battery from discharging into the other. Good luck with your project, all the best Steve..๐Ÿ‘

So today we are back to the SOLAS regulations again which I found quite easy after downloading and studying the manual months ago๐Ÿ˜€.
