Thanks everyone was going to get 3 bladed prop anyway as the Vosper had 4 bladed prop and was a little smaller than the 47 huntsman I know a few have put 4 bladed but was making sure I was choosing the right prop and 3 it is from howes models as need to get the 18 in shaft and coupling as well so I can get that fixed I place to get the bottom re painted

Just my only dilemma if it is one is here we go 3 or 4 blade prop Iโve got a good idea which will be picked but unsure itโs just when you get different ideas off different sites it gets a bit confusing on it being the best for my boat I know 3 blade prop from howes models Iโve had before and was going to get the same my Vosper had as it did a good job of cruising and not warp speed like most of my club members like think Iโve found the motor Chris thunder tiger on Pegasus models gives a list of what other people bought with the 47 kit I saw the batteries and nearly passed out but if it does the old girl justice after 2 years resto on and off then that would be a good choice

Hi Chris thanks that would help I did use lead acid and mfa torpedo 850 in my Vosper but thinking along the way of brushless and lipo never really wanted warp speed like most of our club but been looking at over lander thunder tiger motor and yes the prop shaft sourced at a place I got my last one from canโt remember off the top of my head but m4 18inc I think it was howes models Oah and got the new windscreen few months ago but just havenโt decided on the frame was going to go with plastic but wanted a more natural look ps pic of Vosper 66 I had restored that one from an almost pile of sticks lol

Nearly close to adding more detail in the cockpit with last door to design today and still not decided on how I will do the windscreen frame yet but will be metal I hope in the end itโs going to be worth all the hard work Iโm still not sure what power plant to put in so any ideas would help

Hi Herman if you look at a couple of pics they were never uniformed and most different coulours and a few places were coming unstuck as water had got in under the planking ,Iโm glad I took them off in then as underneath was different types of glue and were stuck to what looked like he had stuck them all on paper first then glued the hole thing to the deck so wasnโt stuck properly the look I had in my head when I bought it was to do it like this but Iโve tried to mark out on paper and draw round the bottom of a glass but the nose isnโt completely round so itโs going to make it hard bit like the pic

Thanks Chris mines definitely the 47 checked before I looked the other day thereโs 2 different sizes but did make sure the dearer one was for mine just emailed kayley at SLEC just to see if they did send a diagram of some sort I know with everyoneโs help thereโs few I didnโt know where they went but the rest I know just going off most pics just want sure if the little round wooden bits were for the roof cowl vents as was going to put small bolts through them so easy to take off for painting but thank you Chris for double checking

Guys guys so today didnโt go well with the wood bending for the rubbing strip think the wood I got was not compatable with what I had to do so will nip to my local and only model shop ie 20 miles away for some balsa strips that will soak up water lol,so my question is regarding the fittings kit as I will be sending off from SLEC does anyone know if you actually get some sort of diagram of what everything is and where it goes I know most of the parts and where they are supposed to go but looking at said pic was wondering if the 6 small round bits of wood are for the 6 roof vents and everything else where itโs supposed to go if anyone can help would be appreciated many thanks Wez

Thanks for help guys and Chris f have got all the deck planks off and Iโm glad I did as half of them were not stuck down at all and Iโve sanded the rubbing strip to the point weโre itโs level , I did try soaking in hot water a small bit of wood and tried bending which did work to say the least for my first bending of wood goes , my idea was to soak the wood just for the bow as that bend on the nose is pretty sharp the rest was going to make small holes for pinning in place with gorilla glue to expand as itโs not too bad to sand in the end as if I had put the planking directly onto the deck it would of all been uneven after years of the rubbing strip having dents and chunks out of it and wouldnโt have been level well all I can do is try

So just a quick question regarding the trim edge right around the top edge of the boat has gone pretty thin as there was some very bad dings in the wood so Iโve decided to put new on top of old so not to take completely off and open a can of worms what is the best way or what ways do anyone have ideas on bending wood to match the rounded bow so Iโve seen a few people use water or steam and heat gun but what would be the best outcome many thanks Wez
