Opening of the season

Ahahahahahah Hermank, you're always the same.

I'm glad you appreciate Italy. I am proud of my nation, of the treasures it holds, of its history, of the men who made it great but I am also very self-critical.

In this lake (which is actually artificial) inside a city park I would like to see more education and civilization.
When I hear about the proverbial English education and respect for rules I am very envious.
In Italy there is not much respect for the rules unfortunately and this is my regret.

In Belgium you will certainly be more compliant than us with the rules and with respect for others.
Anyway, congratulations to you who have created an excellent place for RC models to sail, very good.

Alessandro amigo italiano
our pond can't compeet with yours.
yours is natural, with extremely nice surroundings
it 's based in ITALIA, with italians, italian wine, italian pasta, italian pizza
we have to do it with french fries and beer, ok some belgian chocolates.
Why is life so layback in Italia?
mamma mia !!!!!

Opening of the season

Hi Hermank, this is the closest place for me to do water tests.
It's not bad and from the photo it doesn't seem crowded. In reality it was lunch time, otherwise there are usually a lot of people.

Opening of the season

You made me remember, dear Herman, that when I went to visit Valencia, there were enormous tanks in front of the City of Science.
Beautiful, very large pools of blue water.
Their purpose was certainly aesthetic and the effect was fully achieved, however I was the only one who saw in these tanks (besides the beautiful scenographic effect) perfect test tanks and for RC naval models.
I'm sure only you RC ship modelers can understand me, hahahahaha.
Those who know them will surely point out that they are not very deep. In fact it is true but for my models, which never have a protruding fin or a bulb under the hull, they were perfect.

I enjoy researching places on Google Maps, especially when they are too far away to go in person.

A comfortable and optimal place for radio-controlled boats.

Opening of the season

Alessandro
the sailing squad left us about a year ago as all of them on rc and not on a wind rudder like in the old days where they had a wooden stick to re- arrange the rudder and when it was just a straight saling regatta. They now sail just outside antwerp on a drinkwater reservoir for the city with a lot of wind, no trees and a lot of sailing fun
cheers

Herman, I forgot something. Without wind what do you do with sailing ships? Don't have them there?

Opening of the season

Hello Herman Belgian friend, beautiful place.

It seems just ideal for model making.
In fact, one meter offers an excellent draft even for boats with the fin under the hull but at the same time does not cause problems for the possible recovery of naval models.

I'd like to see the precise point on google maps if you want.

Alessandro buena sera amigo italiano
i jnow a lot of people love steam driven boats but it is such a mess with the oil :(
Our pond has been especially made for us in the early fifties. I have mentionned this when you go on to the side. It is completely in concrete. 1m deep nd 2 levels underneath ground level to avoid wind disturbing our sailing. 2 a month from april onwards we do have a competiton(one steam and one electro) where you have to navigate between fenders and follow a well indicated route. I think we are the onlu clube who are so fortunate to just now as there is a good chance we have to leave the premisses becauce the city wants to reorganise the area which is on the left bank side of the river. If you do have more questions do not hesitate to write or ask
bueno notte

Opening of the season

Hi Herman, the steam (real steam) rc models are the best. I admire those who make them.
Where is this beautiful place located?
Sorry if you already told me but I don't remember.
