    Hi StephenT
I think you are best putting this aside for now. Looks as though it was a reasonable model at one time but fell on hard times and was badly altered to twin prop by someone who did not have the ability or knowledge to complete the task.
I agree with Scratchbuilder that a complete strip out and repair is the only realistic solution. At some time in the future you will be looking for a winter project and this model should provide you with hours of fun restoring to full working condition.
If you are anything like me you will have a whole host of projects awaiting attention.

Thanks for the advice on this one Iโ€™ll put it away in the loft for a rainy day, I have four other boats requiring degrees off attention so loads to go on with I like other people have multiple retirement things to do like driving a 1840s beam engine ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

What a mess! You could fapricate A and P frames for the shafts from brass strip and tube or plastic card and tube. Aerials and masts can be made from plastic tube and rod using remains of the damaged parts and photographs as a guide. Divide the boat into sections and tackle one section at a time, working from bow to stern. Give it a rub down, a couple of coats of primer to kill the old paint and repaint with your chosen scheme. Easy. Just take your time and work methodically....
If it don't fit, use a hammer to make it fit....

    Hi Stephen.
Thatโ€™s very kind of you to make the offer.
Please donโ€™t think I was intimating I wanted it.
I mearly wanted to try to help you out,as a project like yours is a real challenge to me.
Itโ€™s a very kind offer, but I will gratefully decline as I have far too many boats on the go and not only that I think the wife would hang me from the yardarm.
    Please donโ€™t think me ungrateful.
I will reply to your PM as well.
    Regards Bill

    Hi Stephen.
    Thanks for the extra pictures.
Sorry to be a pain but could you post some that are pulled back a bit to show more info inside of the engine room and running gear. Also of the outer running gear.
This is quite a job and I would love to get my hands on the running gear and engine room.
You really have to rip it out and start from scratch again I feel.
    The hull needs TLC first.
If I could see wider angle pictures I could get a better idea.
The upper deck aspect you can think about when you have a good hull base.
    Regards Bill.

I take it that a single prop comes out the middle and the prop support goes in that slot in the base of the boat between the rudders so where do I go with boat I donโ€™t like ditching things but itโ€™s a mess
