Has anyone built this model? It's from a Model Boats plan.
I started to about 4 years ago and got 'writers block' I'm not sure which size or type of wood to plank the frame. All my other boats have been built onto fibreglass hulls. Your help would be appreciated.

    Well done Doug.
I see you found then on Vintage Model Plans in Canada (Link Given) These people are quite good.
I am trying to get Tarpons Plans as I need to finish my fathers Tarpon from them. The advantage is they have quite a bit of the magazine write up. Trouble is living in SA they want US$ 120.00 for track and trace, I have asked them if possible an electronic copy.

    Exactly Rick๐Ÿ‘

Chalkie: Can you give us the number of the MB plan, or the date of issue (month & year) of the MB mag it was in please. Would help enormously.
    Cheers, Doug ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Without seeing the plans or boat it is hard to give a lot of advice. For me I use basswood as my planking product usually 3/16 or 1/8 stripes by 1/4 width.I find basswood is strong yet flexible enough to use.
I hope this helps a little.
    Rick
