Colin, really nice layouts and rolling stock. If I had the room, I’d have a nice railroad, probably HO scale, or if I REALLY had the room, a good 1/32 or 1/24 scale slot car track. Did you build any of the engines or rolling stock? In any case you did well.

Hi Rick, I definitely do not envy you your task of, having to pack up everything which is to go into storage until your high-rise apartment is ready. A true case of onwards and upwards unless you happen to be on the ground floor. Hopefully, you have some arrangements for Christmas and the waiting time before you get into your new home. For what it is worth you both would be more than welcome here I have plenty of room and a large place with only me in it. Although I dare say you have something sorted with family or whatever. So hoping everything works out alright and all goes according to plan. Regards, Gary.

    Colin,
    What a great railroad setup!
I can relate to workshop needing to be multi-faceted. Mine is relegated to the same duties as you listed.
Unfortunately, my trains are "O" gauge (from my childhood), and would take even more space than yours does.
They are all packed away, and about the only time I see them is when I have to move them. 😭

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Thank Gary The Stoney Creek address is about 15 minutes to my new address that I move into Jan 10th. Condo is short for Condominium Highrise Apartment. Been busy packing everything up to put into storage as this house closes Dec. 6 and I don't get the keys for the new unit untill Jan.6th. Do find moving back to posting seems easier now that I'm allmost done packing up.

Hi Rick, my admirable Admiral friend, and good to hear from you. I am pleased to hear you have moved in and have a spare bedroom to continue on the hobby front be it boats, trains, or whatever. Out of interest how far is Hamilton from your old address at Stoney Creek, and what exactly is a "condo" in layman's terms? I am aware of the word conderminion although I am not really sure exactly what that is as it's American terminology. Good to see you back on here and hopefully settled in at your new address. Take good care of yourself. Regards, Gary.

Good evening Rick, I wish I had room to display my model railway stock and buildings, but sadly thy are packed away in my loft untill I can get into my garage again, but sadly it's needed as my workshop.
It's a place that has many guises and has to be used for woodwork, wood turning, metalwork such as building and repairing trailers, welding, painting, plus fixing my car when necessary.
But when my grandson comes to stay I manage to find space for my 8' x 4' layout so he can have fun when the weather isn't good enough for boating.
    Here's a quick glimpse!
    Cheers Colin.
Fair winds and calm waters, COLIN.
