I have recently 'crewed' my Sail Training ship the adults are at 1:35 and the cadets are about 1:43. Gives the youth and the adult. The adult used to be a French sailor not sure where the cadets came from. Roy

Martin S What i frequently do is going onto the internet. Search for the brand or item i m looking for put them on o stick and go to the printshop have them reduced to the seize i want and have them then printed on self adhesive foil.

Your figures are looking good Martin. Whenever I go to shows or shops I carry a small card giving me scales and sizes of women and men. That way I can determine what possible scale a figure is when seen for sale. Whatever, my real concern for model boaters is to have figures on your boat. Far too many are running around totally crew-less, and on an open boat this looks plain silly. So well done you for having figures, and painting them realistically. It makes the whole presentation so much better ! ๐

A bit more work on the 1/16th Lifeboat crewman I donโt think I can take him much further. Some RNLI & Helly Hansen decals would be good if I could source them.

No doubt Stephen! I am scale obsessed, 60 years of building will do that to you! As a result I could not live with this little ditty. Takes a bit to get used to, but works every time. I have also included a helpful picture from my "scale stash" that is s decent cross-reference for crews. But the scale_converter works better than anything.

It's this funny scale thing about 1;32nd I got some for one boat and they were small and another too big perhaps boat manufacturers have their own take on scale

There are some really helpful do it yourself videos on YouTube that spend most of their time on brush painting which is what I do. Rattle can or airbrush with a decent primer and then a succession of washes light to dark usually works really well for me. Vallejo figure paints especially their Fleshtone kits are wonderful to work with.
