I recently acquired a HiTec Aurora 9 9-Channel TX with one 9ch RX
I really rather like the TX it feels like a quality bit of kit and is in super condition, I can't though find a matching 9ch RX are there other brands of RX that happily bind with this Tx?

All of the lights work, nav lights, crane lights, deck lights and the blue light. The radar also rotates. In due course the wipers will also sweep the windows.

Well I have a GoPro but wanted to use something smaller than that. Boats 33-52 inches so a decent size but the GoPro is quite big. Resolution 1080p makes minimum, I’m not to fussed about first person view.

1500Kv motor I used International yacht varnish which I heated in a tub of hot water to thin it down to aid application. The photo is a bit rubbish but it’s really quite a nice finish.

I’ve 3/4 built one, it needs the finishing touches but as it runs it’s more fun using it than finishing it! The build was my second model boat and it wasn’t to bad, certainly suitable as a first or second build in my opinion. With a 3s lipo and brushless motor it goes like stink too!

Modelled on RNLB 33 - 07 Inner Wheel towards the later end of her service when the enclosed radar had been replaced by the Furuno rotating array. I know its to fast for scale speed but I was enjoying its first outing post refurbishment!

Im not sure of the composition of the "white metal alloy" I just know it's heavy! The search light, radar and compass binnacle being the heaviest items followed by the wheel and its mounting. Given their position in the wheelhouse this was a lot of weight to have above the waterline and it really made the boat unstable.

My Waveney lifeboat recently purchased but since re motored and its been on a serious diet to get rid of almost half a kilo of white metal fittings from the wheelhouse. I have replaced the single esc with a twin 50 amp set up and switched the motors to 850's. The result is now a far more stable model and true scale speed. Next up is to fit a rotating radar and working lights, its a lovely model a credit to the original builder and I'm hoping my extra details will take it to the next level.

My 1/16th RNLI Severn class lifeboat that will likely delay completion of the Tamar further still as she's in for refurbishment and a subject change. Currently none of the lights work and the radar is static, all of that will change and the aerial array is going to be updated to reflect the current fitment to the Yarmouth Lifeboat.

So my Tamar build has suffered a bit of late as I have obtained an old Lesro Atlantic 21, the old motor and speed controller have been replaced and some additional bits and pieces have been added such as a trailer towing loop to the bow, reflective tape, some RNLI decals and simulated throttle cables. First run out was this morning and I was rather pleased with the results.
