When first published, some years ago, Pete from Hungary demanded to know how I got hold of a photo of his girl friend😮 (My spies are EVERYWHERE😉)
How his Hungarian wife responded has regrettably not been recorded for posterity.

I remember once Googling 'Model boat plans' and amongst a few definitions of 'boat' and even fewer sources of plans (for all sorts of buildings and gizmos) were many more intriguing offers from, shall we say, 'Models of the night'!😮
Moral: be very careful what you search for and set your browser to erase all cookies and searches when closed. Can also highly recommend 'Crap Cleaner' to clear away the clutter and junk files after WEB browsing👍

Hi Bob, probably just the Schock name,- seemed like a coincidence them both being boat builders/designers etc. Edson Schock designed a lot of classic boats for the Mystic Seaport after his retirement, (around the same time as the Schock co in Cal started)- came from a line of naval architects going back to early Americas Cup days.

Hi hey-you, would you know if the glass W D Schock boats are in any way related to the old Edson I Schock designs ?. I have a New Zealand built 15 ft 'Sharron Potts' design (from Edson I Schock plans 1952- 'How to build small boats'), and while doing a bit of research, spotted the W D Schock company ( started So Cal 1958) and wondered if there was a connection (maybe his son?) Edson Schock was from Rhode Island.
