Built about 10 years ago, it's mostly decoration now, hasn't been on the water in maybe 7-8 years.

It will be miraculous Ronald, I had mine with a done when I could no longer drive at night because of the glare of oncoming headlights and even street lights. I had both my lenses focal lengths set for reading and computer viewing so now I only need glasses for driving and during the day I would be wearing sunglasses anyway.

Hi H - Another cool workshop and ever said they were messy either ๐ but as an example of what I meant - Is that a Hammerlund 180 in the lower right?

I do enjoy all of the shared pictures of our models, and especially the close-up details. I've picked up many tips there. However, I admit I also carefully examine the photographs backgrounds which betray nakedly, our workshops and workbenches.

Isaac: Yes I think the Gullwing wingspan is 8', disassembled barely fit in in my automobile. I converted (I did, back then, a little metal work too) a Ryobi weedwhacker for the engine. Never flew it, donated to the Piper Museum, Lock Haven, PA. As for old radios, pic is of some old junk I just can't seem to get rid of ๐

jbkiwi: Thank you, the Stinson has been residing at the Piper Museum, Lock Haven, PA for several years now. It was actually my last model Airplane. The radio was something called Avenger (I think), nothing memorable anyway as the Stinson never flew.๐

hermank: Yes, mostly it's was model aviation but sporadically I deviate. I've gotta get myself in gear and finish up my Bunker Boat (see earlier pics). What with the planes hanging from the ceiling I must have been attempting to recreate the old hobby shops of so long ago (sniff, sniff) ๐

I remember in the late 50's. I was still in school and I had this big, black MOPA transmitter, that set on the ground with a hand held push-button switch and a Lorenz 1AG4 vacuum tube regen receiver (did it have an early transistor 2nd stage to drive the relay?) that I built outa "Radio Row, NY" kits. I wish I had photos from then . . . heck, I wish I still had the hardware๐

Just ran onto these 2 photos in my Archives. I'd published them in the boat section of RCGroups some years back. Shown is the start of my "Bouncie II". I used this method in my "Bunker Boat" too.
