Len1. My post could be misread by someone. From previous posts in this thread other FlySky TXs have mixing functions. I was only referencing the 3 channel TXs. Even then, as you know, there are other options for mixing functionality on a 3 channel TX. The three channel FlySky is a fine TX & a great value for those just entering the hobby.๐

Chum444, I think I must add a qualifier to your statement about the fact that the Flysky radio's don't work on more than 3 channels or have mixing functions. I think this may only be true for the 3 channel pistol grips because the FS-i6X and FS-ST8 and other upper range receivers certainly do. You can not beat Flysky for quality for the buck. I use them for my boats as well as my 1/14 scale trucks Len

I also have a couple of FlySky 3 channel pistol grips. They are inexpensive (including their rxโs), reliable, & have many programmable functions; end points, expo, differential, etc. Another plus is their multi channel rxโs are compatible with my FrySky thatโs equipped with a multi module. The FlySky performs well for boats that donโt require more than 3 channels or mixing functions.

This question comes up every now and then on this forum. I stand by my Flyskys, all of them. I have Futabas, a Specktrum, and a bunch of others. The FS-I6X stands out as the "best bang for the buck" (pound, euro, or whatever). Lew Florida ๐, USA๐

Thi is a reply to Chief from a few weeks ago. It looks like the Radiomaster does support several HiTec protocols, if you google โ4 in 1 protocol listโ youโll see the supported protocols. I still have my Taranis QX7, I keep if for a backup in case something happens to my Radiomaster. My QX7 has a plug in multi module in the module bay, so it supports different protocols too. The QX7 and my Radiomaster have completely spoiled me.

With two exceptions, I use FrSky radios. I have X9E and Tandem XE radios. Why? Because of the huge number of switches available for animation, the unlimited assignment abilities, the unlimited mixing capabilities, general quality, and price. I can spend quite a bit of time singing praises about them, but i would be off key.๐

I use a Radiomaster 16S. It has memory for more models than I will ever need, an os called OpenTX, (now Edge), and it comes with a the 4in1 chipset. There are 4 chips on in the transmitter that allows me to bind to around 90 percent of the receivers out there...FrSky, Flysky, Spektrum, Futaba, etc. That allows me to buy good used receivers of most any make and saves me a bit of cash in the process. Also, I can wipe out any function in the transmitter and assign it to another switch, slider or stick. If i have a 4 channel receiver, and I want to use say, channel 3 for a light switch, and i want to use a 2 position switch on the transmitter to control it, I just go into the menu, find the stick that controls Channel 3, and assign that switch to it. Plus, multiple mixes, curves, things Ill probably neber use but there if I need them. And it's been rock solid so far.
