The only thing I could possibly think is that the added keel area would somewhat affect turning ability but add straight line stability. Until it's in the water hard to predict. Rudder may need tinkering, maybe kinda sorta?? My 2 cents but I'm no marine engineer 🤔🤞😉😁

I have noticed that in many of the models in the UK you seem to employ water cooling on the motors as well as sometimes the ESC. I live in Northern California where summertime temps run from 30c - 40c and many times over 40c and we rarely run water cooling. Am I missing something or is it done as a general precaution? Curious minds want to know🤔😜😁

The blocks typically are attached to the bow, taking grain into consideration, then carved/sanded to the required shape. Usually this method is used when there are complicated compound curves that make planking etc. very difficult. That's how I understand it🤔 it usually is not difficult to do in my limited experience. Notice the tail on my runabout top of pic...I'll attach a better one later👍

Well my Deans Marine HMS Royal Marine was lost with all hands yesterday by an errant fireboat. Ran right over it and she was out of sight... not even bubbles and there seems no hope of recovery😭🤕🤑 Well the owner of said fireboat is reimbursing me of course but it is still a loss. Which brings me to the subject. I have ordered (at fireboats expense😉) a fibreglass hull for a Huntsman 31 off of ebay. As it's some 33 inches long it seems to be in 1:12 scale soooo.... are their drawings/plans available for this scale and/or who or where can I get them as I'm going to have to scratch build the superstructure etc. ? 1 motor or 2? motor size?? I welcome all input😁. I have been reading all of the posts about the Fairey's🤔 and love the way they seem to run so as my Royal Marine took the plunge😉 so shall I. This will be my first attempt at such so away we go! Thank you all in advance!👍

Well it's brand new but not brand new. Like the Vliestroom I bought the previous owner bought the kits, bought all of the fittings kits, motors etc. Put together binders with photos, build notes, downloads and pictures then boxed them up and never built them. So I really can't complain that 1/2 of one page seems to be missing can I? The shop wanted $130 and they took $80 and I did get to inspect it before purchase. Seems the owner of the shop purchased a storage unit full of models and is selling them off. 🤗

Today I saw on ebay a triple motor setup just for that kit! But at $120 I thought it was a little spendy for a $30 dollar kit. I will probably do it "semi" scale with a single motor bur still looking for ideas.😊

Good afternoon Captains, I'm going to try and convert the subject to R/C. Probably as a single motor, possibly a dual...don't think I could work a triple?? Anyway I would like some ideas as to motor sizes for such a project or links to builds some of you may have done. Any info would be helpful. I've got a deadline mid Sept. for the local club meet. Bring a warship model to the meet that no one in the club has see. i.e. bring something new.

Hmmmm a curious thing, as I was going through the box I found everything there plus purchased extras BUT one half of page3 (of 4) of the full scale plans is missing with signs of it having been cut away?? I believe it had some of the building instructions on it. I should be able to fathom the buid but by any chance does someone out there have a copy of the plans? Long shot I know but if you don't ask......🤞

Yes they exist and some are really that bad. Not being able to use your driveway, cars must be in the garage. Curtains not being drawn during the day. House colors determined by HOA etc. Sure many are not that draconian but the examples you speak of do and have happened. And you pay for the privilege having a enraged Karen enforcer telling your wheely bins are not correctly aligned!
I had a house with a HOA but the price was reasonable $180/yr and was for maintaining the roads nothing else. So it pays to read the contract before buying a residence with a HOA!
