Perhaps AI photos are not acceptable for real model boat enthusiasts, as we pretty much deal with focusing on the "real" model and some fictional setting.
I know it is hard to get good photos of our model giving the small scale model in a 1:1 world. Water action, color, lighting, and background. This also applies to videos as well.
There are ways to improve real photos and videos of our models without AI. Depth of field, especially with close-ups, is a good one. A camera that offers photo adjustments like "aperture" for depth of field is one thought. (Unfortunately, cell phones don't have this.)
A slow moving boat does not spray the water so for close-ups that might be better. For high speed distance does not show the spray as much.
Get down close to the water. If you stand on the shore or dock and take a photo it will look un-real.
A 1/32 scale tied to a 1/300 scale ship is freaky in my view. Put the tug in the foreground and the ship in the background and force the perspective.
I try to use natural settings for my camera work.
As for using AI on this site I would recommend a disclaimer like "AI used" or "Is it real or fake?" with the later possibly being a fun topic.
