Oh cheese! This group is almost as bad as I am. 😎
Perhaps I see things a bit differently, but I always thought that the SAR was just a touch top heavy. Stable, but marginally so. This is one reason that I am really happy with my modified SAR with the lower superstructure. I do look forward to getting her in the water and seeing how close to overpowered I have gotten her. That certainly seems to be my trend. 😁 J.P. ▲

JP,
I'm sure that your humour is surpassed only by your SARtorial elegance 😁 I'm wondering; are perhaps you and Cash both Sons of the American Revolution? Or do you just want to submit a Suspicious Activity Report? ..... 😁😆 😎 ▲

Hi Peter. In a stiff breeze she’ll heel over a bit, but its never been unmanageable. The hull handles both speed and chop very well. I’ve seen some build logs where the builder used thicker plastic for the superstructure, AND added internal formers. I think that’s a mistake. The cabin is built up from what looks like 1 or 1.5 mm plastic. The roof is resin, I think, and is a little beefy, but I never had a problem with the first boat. It’s a decent well engineered kit, but the instructions are…well, let’s say they’re just a bit better than the Taucher Wulf I built…just😁

Good to see you working again Cash - hope you are going to add some flotation to the new superstructure and the hull of course - just in case your friend JP has a new bigger & faster boat..............
New superstructure looks great - but might it be problem in any wind ? - disposed of the Tour Master because of that.......... ▲

Y’know JP, we could always repaint and reflag the boat in the old Soviet colors and name her the “Commie” SAR.
Sorry. Had the shot, saw no danger, so I took it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ▲

Hey folks... Yep, the first picture is of my new modified SAR. I do like the lower, streamlined cabin. Thanks Cash, I think that we both made a good trade.
Ive been working on a name for my new custom SAR. At one point I was thinking Don Nick, but I think that the winner is SAR Dean Kann. (I'll be back eventually, after you've forgotten this post.) 😁 J.P. ▲

Thanks Martin!! That first picture is of my old boat with the new simplified cabin. I came up with a better way to do the front hatch magnets on that cabin, I’m going to incorporate that into my new build.

Looks pretty good Cash - probably the most difficult part of any build - even using perspex with both sides covered I still manage a few blotches ...............So join the club - think your idea on the original sounds great .

Thanks Martin. She looks good in photos and maybe 3 feet away, get too close the “whoopsies” start to show.
