I recently retired and this is how I got back into building boats. I have the fever after a 20 year lull. I included some pics. Currently working on a Dumas Mt. Washington I will post pics if anyone is interested. Thanks Dave

Thanks pressonregardless. Im in New Zealand - we tend to be used to high shipping cost down here, but I do have addresses in USA and UK that I use, and which open up purchasing from both countries.

I also have an unopened Revel Queen Mary that winks at me each time I go into my modelling shed!

The Mt Washington is Big $$ from Dumas.
You could check Micro Mark. Or ebay?
    Shipping could be a problem.
My Man, he has a good price, is temporally out of commission, if he comes back online I will give you a heads up.
    Good Luck๐Ÿคž

I have an un started kit packed away, including the dumas motor, smoker, sound modules (whistle and calliope) with a r/c switch to control them. Im determined not to start until I finish one of my current builds! So very interested in your pics - you have inspired me to complete one that I have started.

... and I have a search on ebay for a cheap? Washington, so would love to see that build too.

    On the Mt Washington,
I see that you installed bulkheads around the deck openings to the bilge, as I did, the hopefully prevent her from sinking. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Very comprehensive build and log! Who lazer cut your railing pieces? They look great.

    The passengers always give
    her a lot of personality.

I would be very interested in pictures of your Mt Washington.

The smoker is from a smaller rc tank. Got it on ebay for $15. I do have a video of the maiden voyage but couldn't get it to load. I will also post pics of the mount. Thanks, Dave
