Nice build! There is a company in California USA, Harbormodels.com, that has monitors and other very nice fittings, hardware, electronics, I purchased one for my tug. Good prices.

Fire-Boat Edward Cotter

I have two working Monitors That I'll use But on the real Cotter there are 3 monitors on the deck that have bases that have ribs I wanted to try and simulate these took a while Until I saw a Lepage 100% glue bottles the caps where just what I needed

Now the fun stuff starts all the deck hardware needs building & painting Needed to start on railings got some stanchions from harbor models Couldn't Find Brass rod at any of the hobby stores in Hamilton area so found 1 package of .04 round plastic and that seemed to do the trick Lots of painting also

Garth, pick up a roll of some 22 gauge copper or brass wire from a hardware store. Cut the length you need, grip one end in a vice, grip the other end in a pair of pliers and pull to straighten.
