The hull is made from light plywood. it was a bargain at £35 from ebay. I plan to turn it into a custom police boat.
The boat is finished now, but I'm going to do a blog.

After seeing other boats on the lake that were very front heavey, in this boat I am trying to get as much weight as far back as possible.
I made a simple battery box from some plastic left over from the seaplane tender build. its not the best looking battery holder but does the job perfectly well

So far the boats going together really quickly.
Fitting the electronics in was easy without the deck on.
What electrics I used are in the power set up section

Unfortunately the only wood I could source at the time was 6mm ply, I would of prefered 3mm.
it will do the job just be a bit heavy.
After sanding the hull flat, I drew round it and cut it out, I then epoxied it on and sanded and body fillered the edges to make them smooth and water tight

I wanted to put a deep rear well on like on a crash tender, but the servo was in the way so I had to higher it up.

A job I should of done first.
A simple water cooling set up, pick up, cooling coil, outlet all connected with high pressure thick red pipe. No need for heavy duty pipe but it looks better than clear silicon.

The front cabin is as far back as it is to keep the wait off the front.
Made from 6mm ply.
Shaped with body filler.
A rubbing strip was also fitted to protect the side of the boat when rubbing against the side.

I decided to go for a crash tender style rear cabin.
I first drew up a few designs usind 2D design, printed them off, used them as templates and cut them out and shaped them with my trusty dremel.
Again 6mm ply was used and they are very strong.
The lid in the picture is a tempory one, as I am waiting for some thinner wood to make a curved roof from

I made a simple boatstand from some wooden blocks and the left over ply.
Also fitted carry handles.
I used strips of solder to get the shape of the hull.
