Just a Thought about the making of a Hull

Over the years I have made hulls using many ways :
Plank on frame both kit and scratch built.
Double skin diagonal plywood.
Timber bread n butter layers.
ABS sheet construction.
Fiberglass over foam *
and my latest 3d printed

At the moment I have a couple of projects on the go one being the Clyde Puffer.

The Puffer should soon be finished , 3D printing was interesting but not sure it'd really like the way I like for model making.

saying that it may play a roll in an upcoming project.
On the Drawing Board
A re make of the Puffer.
The plan is
* Fiberglass on foam
1 3D print a set of bulkhead
2 construct the keel stern and aft from good quality timber.
3 glue the parts on a building board
4 case the Keel/ bulkhead skeleton carboard box
5 fill with expanding foam
6 cut away until the skeleton is showing
7 coat with fiberglass cloth
8 clean out the foam and 3D printed parts
Easy Peasy
This is how I made the hull on my Thames Barge Col
