Just seen on my local BBC Devon News that what was thought to be the wreck of a WW2 U Boat sunk in an attack by the RN is in fact the wreck of HMS D1 which the forerunner of RN patrol submarines of WW1.
She was sunk as a target in 1918 after WW1.
She sits upright and virtually intact in 50 mts of water just off Dartmouth Devon.
Regards Bill.
