I do not know of any clubs on LI but there is an informal group that gets together on Sunday usually at the pond next to Babylon Town hall in Lindenhurst on Sunrise Highway. Sometimes they meet at Lake Ronkonkoma.
I just found out about this group last weekend and the seem too be a bunch of nice guys. I hope to be there this Sunday.
