In 2023, the winter solstice is happening on Thursday, Dec. 21 at 10:27 p.m. EST in the Northern Hemisphere. So we need to keep busy with another orphan model , My 4th Bluenose model boat. Here in Canada I would think that any model boat builder would have built at leased 1 Bluenose it's on all our dimes Plus hope we all have a Merry Christmas & get all the model boat supplies we need. I also would like to wish all model boaters a Happy New year with pleasant sailing. This kit has been collecting bust for about 4 years & needs a little TLC. and when the snow finally arrives here in southern Ontario I'll have something to do rather than snow shoveling.

This is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. The least number of hours of daylight. Effective tomorrow we will have more Daylight everyday, approximately 2 to 3 minutes more. This means that Spring is coming, and it will be model ship weather "soon"
Here in the Hamilton Ontario area we haven't had a lot of snow so did a little more on my model kit of the Bluenose . Needed to paint the hull so instead of spray paint decided to use bottle paint's ask the hobby store guy for some Tester paint white, red, blue, black and was informed that Tester paint has been discontinued for a while.☹️ . Paint is getting kind of expensive but hobby store guy recemented Tamiya enamel. This kit is pretty straight forward except for Rigging & sails So that's next project If it ever snows.

BTW: Don't know about Testers (except for Test paint trial pots) but Testors for models and crafts are still around.
