    Good morning everyone
I found a Graupner B 28 model as per the attached photo but without the engine. I thought of using the engine of which I also attach photos that I have at home and used in model airplanes. I ask if from your experience this engine could be good for the B 28 model. I am not looking for the super speeds typical of these models but a speed sufficient to have fun. I'm not an expert in boat models, so I'm asking. The engine should be a 550 at 12V. If I can use this engine, how can I find an engine support to fix internally to the model? What type of support to use? Thanks all of you

You probably need a high speed motor for the boat to perform and as it is enclosed you will need to water cool it. That is simple enough as you can buy motors with it in place. Not sure on numbers but go on line and check out. Cheers Ian.

You might seek a 600 size at hardware Store aluminum angle then drill 3 holes use a flex coupling. I had in the past some from electric gliders. Other motor that is more powerful is the brushless motors. Most esc available up to higher amps ( make sure they can go in both directions, airplanes only fly one direction no revers, look at ones fir Rc cars. You can equivalent a motor size like a gas engine 35 to a brushless one. Even chain saw 1/4 ho ones can be found. You have a speed boat so what size engine a brushless is a better match. Also most Esc have a nicad or lipo swatch. Lipo can get better volts n amps. You might need two packs in series to get voltage for motor. Check it out I did an aircraft with a 1/4 ho electric Battery packs were big. It had less weight over all too
