Push-tug San Pedro

The San Pedro is a North American style push tug model.
she is 30" X 12" twin screw draft 3"5/8", weight is estimated at 21lbs.
I plan on powering her with,
Two MFA 919D Series - 2.5:1 Gearbox - 3000 rpm @ 6 volts, 6300 rpm @ 12 volts
Two Viper Marine 15's PNP
Two SLA Batteries @ 6V, 2.5 Amps
One Action Electronics Throttle & Rudder Mixer
Did I forget anything?

San Pedro Push Boat

I received the San Pedro yesterday along with the milliput, can't wait to start building her!
But for now just looking through the plans!
The Kit come with a 1 to 1 scale drawing along with two booklets.
each being 25 pages, 44 pages respectively.
One booklet is a picture guide the other written instructions!

San Perdro Push Boat

Ok, after about a week and figuring out what glue to use.
and lucky for me I had some z-poxy which bonds to wood and plastic by the way!
I've put together the framing for the hull and glued the sides on, bow and stern also.

Test fitting the main deck!
from the look of it the engine room is going to be a wee bit on the small side!
her frames are all over the place I hope they call for the frames to be cut in the future!
for a twin screw Push Boat there really isn't any room.
where am I going to put everything.

The main deck has been glued to the frames and the hull is now completed, as you can see the hull is comprised of four sheets of plastic that's 1/8th inch thick!
there's one problem I see and that's the hull has a lot of seams in other words high risk of sinking! OK, how does one waterproof a hull that can't be resin?

Well the Stuffing boxes and half of the skeggs are now glued in place.
you can see the green putty I used to fill the gaps.

Bow looking aft, the keel can be seen protruding through the bow plate.
A little putty will hide it!

Having Located the position where the rub-rail will go, I measured and glue plastic strips to the Hull.

The skegs aren't what I'd hoped for there made of laminated 1/8th inch ply, which I'm going to cover in Resin later on!
Aft of the skeg you can see where the rudder post will go through. look carefully because you'll miss it!
