There are books but more generalized on rc however I have seen magazines on the stands for RCYachting. Did you look ?

Here are a number of books to look for in your local book shops and your library in town.
Here in our library they have inter library loan system where they will see if a book is available elsewhere and then bring it in for you to sign out for a two week period. Pretty good, eh

As promised please find attached the pages re Exploit from the above magazines. Actually started in Jan issue so I have sent you both. Good building. A fellow club member built a model of the Exploit some years ago and I have a copy of his fibreglass hull to build one day. I have a few detailed pics of the actual boat and would be happy to share if you are interested.

Yes a fellow club member made the hull and I had a casting. Was several year ago and doubt if he still has the hull mould but I will ask. I have asked and sorry he no longer has the mould.

I like your model, it has some appearances to the Dories seen in the east coast of Canada. Does it have a round or flat bottom? Or semi flat?
It resembles my model.

Sorry, I have only just found this message, and the answer is Yes I was, although to be honest they are not, or where not a very sociable bunch way back then. I will in the not to distant future have a go at re-joining this motely crew. I am into steam powered models which means all sorts of valid certificates, with regard to boiler safety. So consequently I tend to use the lake when it is quiet and I can have it all to myself. These electric high-speed plastic things get to be a bloody nuisance. Hi Pete, and thanks for the quick reply, the ink was possibly still damp when you received it. It is really good to have a friend living almost on the door step with the same interests. Steam is expensive I agree and you are looking at the best part of £1,000 for all the bits and pieces concerned, as there is a lot more too it than just the boiler and engine. I am sat here wondering if you would care to pay me a social call, I feel sure that you will not regret it if the answer is yes. If, on the other hand you would rather not I will understand. Mind definitely a bit of a coincidence we are only a stones throw apart. Prior to yourself the nearest model boats website guy was in Leeds.
