I needed something to do during lockdown, so I decided to build a boat. I have built model aircraft and the last radio controled boat I had built was using 27Mhz. A while ago. I asked a supplier to send me the Aeronaut Pilot, radio and something to put it together. That's when I discovered Revel cement doesn't stick ABS. After a while general handling of the hull was accompanied by a clicking sound as various frames and skins became disjointed. The solution was a bottle of pipe jointing cement that had been on the shelf for some time. Those joints that didn't come undone were filleted with Devcon 2 prior to a hull water test. The superstructure is next on the agenda. Fingers crossed.

I made this kit last year. Most of the joints were glued with Expo super glue, the runny one, and Stabilit Express for the water tight areas. Nothing has give way yet even with a trip in a box to Hungary.

The latest not in the construction manual. Fitting the windows has to be done with the metal window frames as the clear plastic is considerably smaller dimensioned than the aperture. awaiting some Devcon 2 to fit the 3 fwd stair assemblies.

Still a long way to go and not a very systematic build schedule. It had to go in the water though. as a first build for a good number of years I think I might reconsider getting an ABS constructed boat as a first. Lots of gluing issues. But hayoh onwards and upwards.
